Introduction

Epic Quests are sets of story-based missions that allow you to build up characters as you progress through a list of challenges.

The Goblin Queen Epic Quest follows the story of Havok and the Krakoa X-Men.

Like the Rise of the X-Men and X-Force Epic Quests before it, this Quest only contains Mutant characters, and includes a Deluxe Pack and second Native Tier-2 (Madelyne Pryor) that requires other quest-related characters to be built up.

  Below are the characters involved in the Epic Quest. This Epic Quest incorporates characters from previous updates (Kid Omega, Cyclops, Cable, Rachel Summers).

  All the below characters are Mutants, so Biometric Selectors do not work on them. X-Gene Selectors do, but those are much rarer.

  The Native Tier-2s (Havok, Cable, Madelyne Pryor) require Phoenix Feathers and M'Kraan Crystals to build up, not Black Anti-Matter and Norn Stones of Chaos.

  Havok

  Havok

  The protagonist of the Epic Quest. As a Native Tier-2, he will gradually be built up to Tier-3 as the Quest progresses.

  Kid Omega

  Kid Omega

  A free, farmable character, who ccan be obtained from X-Gene Selectors.
  He can also be farmed from the "Time Travel" missions that unlock as you progress.

  Cyclops

  Cyclops

  A free, farmable character, who ccan be obtained from X-Gene Selectors.
  He can also be farmed from the "Time Travel" missions that unlock as you progress.

  Exodus

  Exodus

  A Premium, semi-paywall character who can only be selected from the "20 X-Genes Daily" subscription.
  As the "Shifter" of this Epic Quest, he can be farmed at up to 8 X-Genes a day (elaborated on in the Missions section).
  Rank Up Tickets & Tier-2 Tickets can be used to speed up the process if you wish to rush through this Quest.

  Cable

  Cable

  Native Tier-2 character that is unlocked by running his World Boss mission, and ranked up as a regular-cost Mutant Native Tier-2.
  He is not required for the main Quest progression itself, but is required at Level 60 to unlock Madelyne Pryor.

  Rachel Summers

  Rachel Summers

  Difficult to acquire character who can either be purchased for 4500 Crystals, or acquired via a rare drop in the 8th Dimension Mission reward.
  She is not required for the main Quest progression itself, but is required at Tier-2 to unlock Madelyne Pryor.

  Hope Summers

  Hope Summers

  The Deluxe Pack character, who can only be unlocked by purchasing the Deluxe Pack for 7700 Crystals.
  She is unlocked at 6 Stars upon purchase, and additional X-Genes are given as Deluxe Rewards and Deluxe Mission drops.

  Madelyne Pryor

  Madelyne Pryor

  The Ultimate Native Tier-2, who can only be unlocked by upgrading the prerequisite characters to Tier-2 and Level 60.
  She is unlocked at 1 Star once this is done.

  Deluxe Packs are a feature of every Epic Quest except the Doctor Strange one (and a slight exception for the Fate of Mankind / Eternals Epic Quest, which features two Deluxe Packs). Deluxe Packs can be purchased with Crystals (7700 of them in this case, 1100 higher than most other Quests), and unlock an exclusive character who cannot be otherwise acquired, and an exclusive mission that drops valuable rewards.

  Deluxe Packs are generally viewed as solid investments. Even if the character that is unlocked gets power creeped, the mission stays unlocked for you to keep farming materials at a higher rate. Mutant materials, which drop from this Deluxe Pack, are useful throughout all stages of the game - both for building mutants and for recipes in the Crafting Lab.

  The exclusive character for this Deluxe Pack is Hope Summers, who gets unlocked at 6 Stars immediately after purchasing it. To get her to Tier-2, you can use a combination of the X-Genes given as "Deluxe Rewards" in the Epic Quest progression, and farmable X-Genes from the unlockable mission rewards at about 20/day.

  Deluxe Rewards

  Deluxe Rewards are additional rewards given at each stage of the Epic Quest after a Deluxe Pack is purchased. These can be claimed retroactively, so you can go back to missions already completed and collected the Deluxe Rewards - there is no penalty for progressing far in the Epic Quest before buying it. The total Deluxe Rewards are listed below.

  "The Goblin Queen" allows you to unlock a 1 Star Madelyne Pryor once you reach Lv.60 and Tier-2 with the 7 listed characters (Havok, Exodus, Rachel Summers, Kid Omega, Cyclops, Cable and Hope Summers). You will then have to build up Madelyne Pryor manually as a double-cost Native Tier-2.

  Note that Hope Summers is required, so you can consider Madelyne to also be locked behind the Deluxe Pack's 7700 Crystal cost.

  Rachel Summers' requirement is also painful if you have not been lucky with the Dimension Mission contribution chest, as she also costs 4500 Crystals in the Store.

• Epic Quest Collections

  Epic Quest Collections

  Epic Quest Collections contain random items that have a chance to drop every time you run a specific mission. Each Collection comes with a reward upon completion.

  The X-Force Armory Collection contains 4 items, each subdivided into 3 sub-items that can be farmed from missions within the Epic Quest. Once the required amounts of all 3 sub-items for a Collection item are reached, it is marked as collected, and your reward can be redeemed.

  The amount you need to farm for each sub-item is more or less arbitrary. Each sub-item has its own drop percentages, and some will drop in higher quantities at once than others. None of the rewards for this Collection are much good anyway, so it's probably not worth focusing on any of these.

  For each sub-item, the number of items needed is shown to the side. The icon shows the mission the sub-item drops in: as listed in the "Unlockable Missions" section.
