Basics

Dispatch Missions are an extremely important mode, serving two main purposes:

  1. Running Missions: Actively farming for XP and rewards.
  2. Passive Farming: Automatically accumulating resources and energy over time.
Running Missions

Actually running the missions can be done by simply entering the stage. This costs 6 Energy (4 with Stage 1 Boost).

Unlike many other mission-based modes, all 3 characters on your Dispatch team will be active on the stage at once. You can control one at a time, with the other 2 on Auto Play. This means that Dispatch teams can benefit from having multiple main/DPS characters more so than most other modes.

When running a mission, you will have the option to run the mission with or without Energy.

Running without Energy gives you XP rewards, but no item rewards. It also still costs a Clear Ticket to auto repeat each run.

Running without energy is a good way to grind bulk amounts of XP with little cost (apart from time and Clear Tickets). Running Dispatch overnight can save you on XP chips or help level uniforms.

Item rewards can drop when running Dispatch with Energy. The grade of item drops increases on average each Sector, so while 6-star items can drop as early as Sector 2, they are significantly more common in Sector 12. Therefore it is recommended to play the highest Sector you can auto run if you need these rewards.

Dispatch is generally a good mode to play with spare Energy once all dailies are complete. The alternative would be Story Mode, depending on whether you need fodder Biometrics more than the Dispatch upgrade materials.

Note: The below are not confirmed, but have been observed anecdotally:

  • All missions within the same Sector seem to drop the same rewards, meaning 12-1 will drop the same items as 12-5.
  • Sector 13 missions seem to drop worse rewards than Sector 12, making Sector 12 the best for farming rewards.

Missions from Sector 7 onwards have a chance of dropping the premium versions of the standard Dispatch drops:

As you would expect, the drop rates for these items are extremely low. If you play Dispatch consistently (e.g. at least several runs each day), you will probably get a handful of each type in a year.

Actually clearing the Dispatch Missions can be difficult. While the best team(s) for Dispatch varies by account, some general tips are below.

  1. "Level Disadvantage" is a key reason Lv.70 characters fall off around Sector 5, as this is where enemies start appearing over Level 70. The best way to get around it is to ensure your main(s) are equal or higher level to the enemies (until you get to Chapter 13, where they are above the max character level).
  2. Desirable attributes for a Dispatch main are:
    • decently high damage with area-of-effect attacks
    • the ability to be levelled to Lv.80 (i.e. has a Tier-4 available)
    • animations that do not get stuck in place for too long
    • the "All Defense Down" debuff
    • ideally being Universal, for advantage over all enemy types.
  3. As for building a main, a persistent proc Custom Gear (e.g. C.T.P. of Rage or Judgement) are also ideal if you will be auto-playing, as single-skill procs will most likely be wasted on Auto Play.
  4. For Leads and Supports, along with the usual desirable effects (e.g. Damage boosts), Dispatch teams benefit greatly from "All Debuffs Effect" buffs. This is mostly due to their boosting the All Defense Down debuff, which on some characters can exceed 100% and result in hugely increased damage towards mobs and bosses. An example of this buff is Enchantress' Leader skill.
  5. If you have people on your friend list with powerful characters, save their assists until the boss stage.
Passive Farming

Each Sector in Dispatch also has a pool of rewards that passively accumulate. Most have 1-2 distinct rewards, as they all drop the generic Gold, Energy, Clear Tickets, and Dispatch Tokens.

Every minute, each Dispatch Sector will roll its rewards, giving you some Gold and a chance at one of the other reward items. This adds up over time to provide a consistent source of various resources.

When Passive Rewards are granted every minute, there is a chance for the Sector's unique reward item to drop in various quantities.

  1. a regular drop of 1
  2. a "crit" drop of around 10-20
  3. a "super crit" drop of around 150-200.

(Unfortunately the exact numbers, or how they are affected by reward boosts, is not known.)

So while it may appear that the passive rewards are lame, they adds up over time and as these crit drops occur. They are obviously rare, but happen often enough to make an impact.

It is important to note that the unique rewards drop in the same quantities across the Sectors. Consider that some resources are much more plentiful than others (e.g. you both earn and use a lot more Black Anti-Matter than Chaos Norns). So even if you need more Black Anti-Matter, the percentage extra you get from Dispatch will be much lower than the percentage extra for Chaos Norns.

Consider which resources are most useful to you, as well as which resources are relatively rarer, when prioritising which Sectors to improve the rewards on.

Each Dispatch Sector will accumulate rewards for a certain time period (the "Collection Time"). This starts at 2 hours, but can increase up to 12 hours with all Challenges cleared.

Each Dispatch Mission has 3 associated Challenges (shown in the Sectors > Challenges tabs on this page). As there are 5 missions per Sector, this makes a total 15 Challenges per Sector.

Every 3 Challenges that are cleared will increase the maximum Collection Time for that sector.

Note that each Mission's Challenges do not need to be completed at once - you can do them in multiple different runs with different team configurations.

For the Challenges that require certain types of characters, the restriction icon on in the Sectors tab can be clicked to view all relevant characters.

Quantities of Passive Rewards can be increased by:

  1. Increasing Dispatch Level (+10% every 10 Levels)
    This is a global buff to Passive Rewards, but Dispatch Levels cap out at Level 50 for a 50% increase. The Levels tab on this page shows the amount of Dispatch XP needed for each level.
  2. Increasing Sector Growth Score (+10% every 5 Growth Score)
    This buffs only the relevant Sector's rewards. While the game supports a Growth Score of up to 50, realistically around 30 would be considered the maximum (for a 60% increase to one Sector).

(Growth Scores are increased by slotting characters in the "Dispatch Characters" menu of each Sector. 15 characters can be slotted per Sector with certain restrictions, and one character can only be Dispatched in one Sector at a time.)

It is generally a good idea to unallocate and reallocate your Dispatch Characters every so often. This will carry forward changes to Growth Scores as you build characters over time.

It may also be worth further optimising Sectors to push for multiples of 5 Growth Levels, as these are the points where rewards increase by 10%.

Other

The Dispatch Shop is the most reliable way to obtain "Semi-Premium" Cards for completing Card Collections.

Other than that, Uniform EXP Chips are worth purchasing, but little else: too many items cost Crystals, and the Gold-cost items are still too expensive. Buying little things with Dispatch Tokens doesn't hurt as there is nowhere else to spend them.
