Halloween Seasonals 2025

Continuing with previous years, this event has discounts applied to older returning seasonal uniforms.

Crystal uniforms over two years old were discounted by the regular 40%, for a cost of 1050 Crystals.

Paywall uniforms over two years old were discounted by 10 tokens, so they cost 20 tokens.

  Spider-Man (Miles Morales) [Ancient Curse]

  Spider-Man (Miles Morales) [Ancient Curse]

  A surprising pick for this year's new male seasonal, especially with his previous [Across the Spider-Verse] uniform still performing relatively well.

  As a main he performs similarly to the previous uniform, with largely the same rotation and solid performance especially in WBL. The type switch to Villain provides extra versatility in ABX (though he isn't meta here) and WBL restrictions.

  He does have some additional benefits, including being the current best striker, marginally better than Ghost Rider. Keep in mind the score increase isn't huge and it may not be worth building him up if you already have a stacked GR to strike. Secondly he is also the new fastest rift clearer, which is nice if that is something you care about!

  Overall he has enough use to justify the price, especially if you already have him built up with his previous uniform.

  Ghost Rider [Rage Returned]

  Ghost Rider [Rage Returned]

  Would be a Recommended pick if this uniform hadn't just been replaced by [Savage Avengers], which is available year-round and cheaper since [Rage Returned] isn't on sale.

  With [Savage Avengers] being marginally worse in some cases and significantly better in others (PvP for example), it doesn't make much sense to spend 40% more for the seasonal. Perhaps if you are severely arachnophobic.

  Abomination [Infected Bioweapon]

  Abomination [Infected Bioweapon]

  Pretty much the same situation as last year. A minor improvement in support passive for Hulk in ABX/L, but likely not worth the cost for most people.

  Also note that Hulk (+ Ock and Kingpin who score about the same) has been meta for a long time, and could be replaced by someone who cannot use Abomination's support. Also consider the ABX/L changes next update may or may not make this restriction less of a focus.

  Black Bolt [Fallen Soul]

  Not a complete wash, but not likely to be worth it for the majority of players that don't already have it. The only two reasons to get this are:

  • If you really like Black Bolt, since it is still the best uniform for him and you want him to be at least a bit useable. However it could be replaced at any time.
  • If you are trying to push the 3 Inhumans challenge in Dispatch 14-5. However note that having this uniform by no means guarantees the clear, it is still very difficult even with the new Medusa and Kamala uniforms.

  Each of these uniforms can be purchased for 20 or 30 Event tokens. These come with certain real-money packs at roughly 1 USD for each token (though the packs come with other items, like Crystals, as well).

  10 tokens are given for free in a check-in event, so you can consider the first uniform you buy as costing 10 USD less. Any subsequent uniforms will require you to buy additional 20-30 tokens, depending on whether you want to buy a discounted one, for about 20-30 USD.

  Morgan le Fay [Fallen Soul]

  Still the best choice out of the paywall seasonals, and to make the deal sweeter she's on discount this year. A solid support for Universal/Villain/Female who is eligible for 2 ABX and 2 ABL days (though you likely won't use her in Human Female ABL).

  On the contrary, it could also be argued that spending real money on an ABX/L focused uniform before an imminent rework to ABX/L (which was implied to be changing restrictions) is a bad idea. There are also similarly-typed supports you can use to somewhat replace Morgan if you don't have her:

  Basically the same story as Morgan but to a lesser extent as Sin is less versatile in ABX/L - unless you use Gwenpool for Speed/Human/Female. This could change either way (becoming more or less useful) or not change at all depending on how ABX/L is reworked.

  Below are some similarly-typed supports for reference - if you are content with building one of these, you might be happy to skip Sin.

  Medusa [Ancient Curse]

  The new female uniform for Halloween 2025. Hopes were not high for this one and rightfully so, with questionable supports and basically zero value as a main.

  She provides a strange mixture of support passives, including 45% All Basic Attacks on lead (but only for Universals), 40% All Basic Attacks as support (but only for Inhumans) and 45% Damage to Villains (but only for Heroes). The only characters who can benefit from all her supports are Medusa herself (but she's useless as a main) and Black Bolt (but the Damage to Villains does not apply to his latest Villain uniform). You could see this as her just being versatile with who she supports. In turn this can be seen as the cope that it is.

  The main appeal of this uniform is that it would contribute to being able to clear the Dispatch 14-5 challenge alongside Black Bolt. It should be noted that the author of this article (WHO IS VERY GOOD AT VIDEO GAMING) was not able to clear 14-5 with all 3 of Kamala, Black Bolt and Medusa at Tier-4 with Rage. This can be attributed to Medusa somehow being weaker than Black Bolt [Fallen Soul] despite being 3 years newer and costing 20 USD more, and the most important part of her stupid support passive not applying to him.

  Weapon Hex [Infected Bioweapon]

  This was in the "Not Recommended" pile last year but we're feeling a little generous. She works pretty well within her specific niche - a Tier-4 support for Strange in certain modes, and a Zombie support for PvP. She is not really viable as a main or a support outside these circumstances.

  If either of these uses interest you, you know what you are in for. For most people she will be a hard pass, which means you save some money!
