Black Friday 2024 - Selector Recommendations

Black Friday provides two free selectors to all players. These are the recommended selections, focusing mostly on the characters who do not appear in the normal Tier-3 selectors.

These are recommended for all accounts, though newer accounts are more likely to not already have them Tier-3.

Solid support, gets even better with a lead added with her uniform. A must-have for all accounts.
Gwenpool [Dark Gwenpool]
Gwenpool [Dark Gwenpool]
Fantastic DPS character, especially for newer players due to native Pierce. Needs the uniform to be any good.
Taskmaster [Marvel Studios' Black Widow]
Taskmaster [Marvel Studios' Black Widow]
Another support, but requires the uniform for the support effect. Might get a new uniform with the Thunderbolts* movie too.
She-Hulk
She-Hulk
Solid leadership against Male types. Gets better with uniforms, but probably not worth it.
Maybe Mains
These characters are pretty good, but require a uniform purchase and aren't that necessary overall. Build them if you like them!

Would be in the Strong Recommendations section if he wasn't in most regular selectors. Extremely strong main and very useful for ABX/L.
Venom [Warstar]

Pretty good Combat Hero for WBL, though his ABX/L performance is overshadowed by Hulk and Ock, so WBL is likely the only place you will end up using him.
Captain Marvel [Marvel Studios' The Marvels]

Quite strong general Universal character for PvE. Does pretty well in both WBL and ABX/L (though she only has 1 ABL day and it's also covered by Luna/Gwenpool). Not the most proc friendly though, and questionable to give a Rage to a uniform this old.
Minor Supports
These characters have Lead/Supports that can be somewhat useful in WBL. Get them if you've got all the Strong Recommendations and Maybe Mains (or just aren't interested in the Maybe Mains).

Decent 45% Energy Attack leadership.
You can purchase her uniform and use her as a main too, though probably not worth it anymore.
Ancient One

Decent 45% Energy Attack leadership and 25% Elemental Damage passive for Blast Types only.
Cyclops
Cyclops
Minor lead and support that add up to 35% Energy Attack.
Loses some points for being in generic Tier-3 Selectors, gains some back as he could get a good new uniform in the future.
Futureproofing
Kind of the "last resort" - you would pick these characters and not touch them until they get new uniforms.
All large roles in Daredevil: Born Again. Daredevil is certain to get a uniform and Tier-4, with likely one of Punisher and Kingpin also getting the same treatment (but hard to be sure which).
Lead roles in Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts* respectively. Both expected to get a uniform and Tier-4, though they are both Speed Male Human Hero and unlikely to be extremely useful.
It is about time for a new Sharon uniform.

A great dual lead/support for Combat types with her uniform, though she doesn't do much without it.
Medusa

A good futureproofing pick as she is slated to get a Uniform and Tier-4 in the coming months (hopefully not a seasonal paywall one though).
In the meantime you can use her 36% All Basic Attacks leadership in some content if you're relatively new.
Maybe Mains
These characters are pretty good, but require a uniform purchase and aren't that necessary overall. Build them if you like them!

Very high DPS WBL character with a Tier-4 available. However as Blast Male Hero, there is nowhere he can be used in ABX/L, so his use is limited to just World Boss.
Doctor Octopus [Ends of the Earth]

Meta Combat Villain for ABL, though Hulk may be easier to play for most people (and don't double up if you already have Titan Hulk). Also features in most generic Transcended selectors, so not a great use of this special one.

These characters have Lead/Supports that can be somewhat useful in WBL. Get them if you've got all the Strong Recommendations and Maybe Mains (or just aren't interested in the Maybe Mains).

45% Phys Attack leadership, and a chance to get a uniform and Tier-4 at some point as he is relatively popular.
Titania

50% Phys Attack leadership but restricted to Combat types. Gets a support for Strong types added on top with her uniform, but likely not worth.
Moon Girl

36% All Attack leadership, but Blast Female so not a lot of places to use her.
Futureproofing
Kind of the "last resort" - you would pick these characters and not touch them until they get new uniforms.
The Thing
The Thing
Will certainly get a uniform and Tier-4 for the Fantastic Four movie. However he is usually left to rot as a support whenever the F4 all get uniforms - hard to imagine his next upgrade will be any different.
Red Guardian

Plays a part in Thunderbolts*, but seems to be wearing the same clothes, and unlikely to get a Tier-4 over Yelena and Bucky.

Features in Daredevil: Born Again. However Punisher and Kingpin will likely have more prominent supporting roles, so uncertain if he will get a uniform. Even if so, a Tier-4 is very unlikely.
